Apologies for the slowdown in posting new articles. The systems administrator is busy trying to figure out if the integration of HEdCen.com with Google Apps will make it even more user friendly and dynamic. It’s a free service which will allow document sharing (includes spreadsheets), coordinate school activities with a calendar, plus, it will allow the creation of 2GB mailboxes in lieu of the measly 20MB that the system administrator’s private webhosting account can provide for the moment.

Below are screenshots from the Google Apps page. The backbone of the e-mail service will be Google’s Gmail but we will still be using our @hedcen.com accounts. If you will also notice, the chat service (Google Talk) includes free text and voice calls around the world. How does that sound to you?

Note that everything is under study. If this is the better option, we’ll start the integration soon.
