(WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! Redwoods Varsity ’96 members and Coach Juaqui receive the Barotac Nuevo Iloilo Football Fiesta 2007 Championship trophy in the 10-11 age group.)

HEdCen Redwoods 96 excelled at the Iloilo summer football festivals held last April, winning the gold in Barotac Nuevo and finishing third at Santa Barbara. Below is the start of Coach Juaqui’s report on our 96 boys becoming the best in the Philippines:

BAROTAC, ILOILO CHAMPIONS HEDCEN BOYS BORN 1996 – THE BEST IN THE PHILIPPINES Barotac Nuevo Iloilo, April 21-22 – HEdCen won gold in the Barotac Cup in the province of Iloilo and are now considered the best in the Philippines for their age level.
The venue for Barotac Cup born 96-97 was in the National Training Center. The opening ceremonies were held in the Plaza.
Barotac is the football capital of the Philippines where most of the country’s national players originate. It is one of the few places in the Philippines where football is more popular than basketball…
