The Little Farmhouse Celebrates 15th Birthday
by Margot Cervania
June 30, 2007 – The Little Farmhouse held its annual family day in celebration of the school’s anniversary. July 1 is the official birthday of the said school. The families of the students attended this half-day event which was held at the school’s small field.
The event was opened with a short mime presentation by the fourth year students. A short paraliturgy lead by Fr. Dari and prayers from the students and teachers followed. A short game was conducted by the emcees Atty. Eric Santos and Sir Leo Crisologo.
Song numbers from the students, teachers and parents followed right after. First up were Ice Cedro and Nicole Salvador from Grade 4. After their number, Georgia Katindig sang a song from Kjwan accompanied by guitarists Paolo Ferrer, Rye Delfin and Vinz Epino, all from the first year batch. Also from first year was Marsha Nackaerts singing “Iris”. She was accompanied by Anjo Gemzon on guitar from second year. Next up was Kumon teacher Ms. Butche who sang Gary V.’s “A Warrior is A Child”. After she sang, she didn’t fail to remind the students who are due for Kumon. Performing two songs was the trio of Teacher Ygy, Sir Ramil and Sir Seth, who are Grade School/High school teachers. Following them is the family of Alliyah Claraval from Grade 3. Her father and mother joined her in singing “The Greatest Love of All”. Mrs. Ayeen Lucero, mother of Jad, a fourth year student, was joined by the fourth year and the alumni as “chuwariwaps” in singing a song called “Just You”. After that, cupcakes and candles were brought out by everyone to sing the birthday song to the school. The day was concluded with the families sharing their sandwiches with other families.
Though the day was hot, everyone had a good time with their families.
