Mr. Pagsi: He came, he talked, he conquered
You can’t make me sit down and listen to a single speaker without feeling the urge to stand up and take a break — especially, not for two hours. But, yesterday, I sat there with my attention undivided and my focus never wavered either. The speaker was that good. Not only because he spoke with such clarity but because his message was delivered straight from his heart to ours. Dr. Onofre Pagsanjan — teacher, artist, inspirational speaker, husband, father and son — was in HEdCen yesterday and, based on the reactions long after he had left the school, I know I am not alone when I say that he inspired us in ways that no words can ever express.
The core message was simple:
But only a man who has lived by that philosophy can talk about such a simple message in the context of the most profound life experiences.

Teacher Emma thanked Mr. Pagsi for enriching our lives…
and presented him with tokens to remember HEdCen by. A cap…
… and a T-shirt in a recycled bag. Nothing expensive, really. But then, Mr. Pagsi gave us something that is beyond monetary value and it just seemed so fitting that HEdCen presented him with things that symbolize the school’s own philosophy: Better people, better earth.
Thank you, Mr. Pagsi. You have forever changed my life.

The chat (I felt so strongly- it was as if we were talking one-on-one, with nobody else, that I would not want to call it a talk) of Sir Pagsi will forever be one of the most precious two hours of my life. He has ratified me in my vocation as a teacher and has kindled in me the desire to do more, to be more for my students. Sir Pagsi, if I had the authority, I wouldn’t hesitate to canonize you as a living saint and make you a patron of teachers. God has blessed us when He persuaded you to accept Teacher Emma’s invitation. We can’t thank you enough.
