Glitches And Growing Pains
Some of you may be wondering why pictures on HEdCen.com’s main blog have been disappearing. The answer is: we don’t know (yet). We do have a few guesses, principally that Wordpress MU (the multi-user blogging platform our site uses) has some bugs which might require our updating to a newer version.
The problem has been recurring over the past several months. Temporary fixes like reuploading some of the pictures worked for a while, but after a few weeks or so the Mysterious Photo Bandit would strike again.
We’ve other glitches to address too, like the Previous tab on individual blogs leading to an error message (404) Page Not Found. For instance, those of you who have been regularly surfing Coach Juaqui’s blog will probably see the error message “Not Found!” after you click on the Previous tab located at the lower-right corner of HEdCen Football’s home page.
However, there’s a quick-fix individual remedy for the problem. You’ll notice that the page where the error message “Not Found!” appears has the following URL (Universal Resource Locator) http://hedcen.com/juaqui/juaqui/page/2/ on your browser’s URL line (that long white rectangular box at the top of your browser’s screen) . What you need to do is manually delete the repeated phrase “juaqui/” on the URL line so that what you’ll have left is http://hedcen.com/juaqui/page/2/. After doing that, click on the URL line with the corrected web address and hit the enter or return key, which should bring you to the earlier post. You can then simply click on the Previous tab located at the lower-right corner of the current page of HEdCen Football to go to the even earlier posts.
You can do this same solution for other individual blogs, i.e., deleting the repeated “phrase/” on the URL.
Webmissy is understandably annoyed by all this, but we’re taking it in stride as part of the growing pains of our flourishing website! Rest assured we’re doing what we can to get the kinks out.

More than annoyed. Scared, too, that if I “fix” anything — like the last time — it’ll turn out to be a major disaster.
Am reading up, trying to find answers.
