Humanities Day On Friday, 26 October 2007

22 October 2007

Dear Parents,

Good day!

This week we are preparing for the Humanities Day on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007. It will be a celebration of Music, Arts and Literature, and in line with this we have prepared some activities for the students. All students are expected to be in school in a costume of any character, icon or famous person in the various disciplines under the field of Humanities. It is preferred that the costume is handmade or made of recycled and environmental-friendly materials.

The day will begin with a general assembly wherein the students will be presenting their respective costumes. Awards will be given to the most creative and original costumes. Assembly time will be at 7:15 A.M. so that the program can begin at exactly 7:30 A.M. Highlights of the day would include storytelling activities with the Pre-School and lower levels, various presentations, art exhibits, and a choral recitation competition at 1:00 P.M. Dismissal time during Humanities Day from Grade 1 - Year I is at 3:00 P.M. The Year II - Year IV students will have an open mic/poetry-reading activity from 6:00 - 8:30 P.M. Parents and guests are invited to attend any of our activities for the day.

In preparation for the choral recitation, dismissal for all GS/HS levels from Tuesday, October 23 to Thursday, October 25 is at 4:00 P.M. Kindly make the necessary arrangements for your child.

The semestral break of our students will be from October 29 - November 4.

Thank you very much!

Sincerely yours,

YGY C. CABUNGCAL
