Beat the Boredom With HEdCen’s Summer Programs And Sports Clinics

It’s halfway through the summer vacation, and maybe, just maybe, your pre-school children are finding their brains numbed by all that lazing in front of the boob tube watching cartoons non-stop, and you’re desperately in need of more interesting and creative activities for them to do.

The solution?

The Little Farm House is offering several summer programs for your tykes, including “Giant Steps for Little Feet,” “Games and Stories,” and “Make and Do (Arts and Crafts).” All of these are set to start this coming Monday, May 5, 2008 (see poster below).

And to give your older kids who’ve had their faces and fingers glued to their PSPs and DSs a chance to put away their handhelds and get their bodies moving and feet kicking, the school has the following sports clinics:

Those in Grades 3 to 6 and high school can choose to join and enjoy T. Ana’s five-day APPLIED SCIENCE WORKSHOPS to be held on May 19-23, with the following line-up of projects and other details:

Applied Science Workshop for Grades 3-6
8am-11am
Day 1: The Science in Baths (Melt and Pour Soap Making and Bath Fizzes)
Day 2: Fermentation (Wine Making)
Day 3: Osmosis and Lipids (Jam Making and Peanut Butter Making)
Day 4: Homeopathy (Herbal Remedies)
Day 5: Botany Crafts (Leaf Skeleton Crafts)

Applied Science Workshop for HS
1pm-4pm
Day 1: Saponification: The Science in Soap-making (Soap Making - Cold Pressed Method)
Day 2: Fermentation (Wine Making)
Day 3: Paper-making from Plants
Day 4: Floral Water Making and Extractions
Day 5: Homeopathy (Herbal Remedies)

Workshop fee is Php3,000.00 and materials cost Php1,000.00.
