HEdCen @ Sweet 16
The past week was a blur of color as the school celebrated its 16th birthday. Here are some of the images of that truly wonderful week- one that will remain precious to us.
DAY 1 (June 30)
A Thanksgiving Mass was held at the front assembly area. Fr. Dari, pastor of Kanlungan ni Maria, was our celebrant.
One can only wonder at the depths of emotion that the two founders, Teacher Emma and Coach Sugar, must have felt at this momentous occasion. In a very real sense, they are the roots, sap and trunk of our tree of life planted in our small corner of the sky.

Our Principal, Sir Sam, with the help of Teacher Mayette, formed and conducted the High School choir that sang our heartfelt gratitude during the Mass.
Sixteen students and faculty gave their benediction (bene for good; dictio for choice of words) or birthday wish for the school. Each then lit a floating candle placed in our wishing pond- a truly HEdCen touch.

Bahay Kwitib (the new Pre-School Campus) was then blessed along with the new classrooms for High School, the new Audio-Visual Room, Faculty Lounge, and the Administration Offices.

DAY 2 (July 1)
The actual birthday of the school was spent in the quiet of each one’s home- a day of recollection and personal thanksgiving for 16 years of laughter, tears, sweat, and prayer.
DAY 3 (July 2)
HEdCen children cannot be kept indoors for long and so we held the Bernard Muros Victory Cup. It was rainy and muddy but it was one heck of a lot of FUN!!!

And yes, even Superman came to join the fun and games!
