Bahay Kwitib Unveiled
A House on a Hill (quoted from Teacher Emma’s blog)
The Kwitibs (the youngest, cutest, brightest and most energetic residents of The Little Farm House) have invaded the newest building ( Bahay Kwitib a.k.a. the ant house) across the historical HEdCen grounds. They were the most excited little eyes I saw last June 30! The “hantiks” ( not necessarily the mothers of the “kwitibs” in a genetic sort of way, is but a term I will use to allude to the parents of the preschoolers) came excitedly too! Hmmm, it was hard to let go but they had to let the little ones meet their own lessons of survival despite some separation anxiety issues.
Bahay Kwitib is the latest development project of The Little Farm House. On its 16th year, the preschool department which started on July 1, 1992 in 95 Beverly Hills Subdivision moved out of its original abode to give more learning and growing spaces for the grade school and high school department. The new house is on top of a hill across the 16 year old school. It is a natural setting for birds, insects and “kwitibs” alike. On the lower plain are canopies of green trees and around the surrounding hills are towers of trees that provide shelter to a host of birds and insects. This hill where silence was known before is no longer alone. It will now grow flowers, hear songs, receive gentle footsteps and will cradle the smallest, the most plump and the juiciest, the brightest and the happiest learners of all - the kind that we raise in our little farm house!
Our logo- the sun, the house and the tree beside it is so much more real now because the whole scene is actually sitting on top of a hill!

Learning and Discovery Centers
The Preschool teachers welcomed the children of the Little Farm House at opening day (last June 30) with learning and discovery centers featuring macaroni bead-making (Level III), face-painting (Level II), puppet-making (Level IB), and clay-molding (Level IA).

General Assembly and Presentation of Teachers
We then gathered the children for our first general assembly. DJ Regala (Level III) led the morning prayer. The teachers presented the story of the Little Farm House (directed by Teacher Jodie with Coach Billy as Mr. Sun, Teacher Gerl as Ms. Tree, Teacher Claire as Ms. House and the rest of the teachers as chirping birds). Afterwards, Teacher Emma introduced the Preschool teachers.

Book Fair
Scholastic held a book fair which included a visit from Clifford. Our opening was made even more exciting with the presence of Higantes from Antipolo and ice cream!

The future’s looking good!
Sixteen years ago, Jacob was not even an idea. Now he’s looking at the school with very young and wonder-filled eyes. 30 years hence? I’m sure the school would still be around and still harvesting the best crops of the year. Will Jacob be the principal then? Hmmm…
Cheers!!!
