Asian Youth Games Friendship Cup: RP 2 Singapore 2

According to email reports by Mr. Ely Condat and Mr. Archie Santos-Tankia, the Philippines and Singapore U14 teams played to a 2-2 draw in the AYG Friendship Cup of the 1st Asian Youth Games held at the Jalan Besar Stadium yesterday, 27 June 2009.

The Friendship Cup gave the Philippine team a measure of consolation and the chance to finally play football. The team was unable to participate in the AYG Football Competition due to its quarantine for A(H1N1) virus after one player tested positive for the flu variant shortly upon the team’s arrival in Singapore. The team’s quarantine at the Aloha Loyang resort ended on Friday, 26 June 2009.

Oh wow. I thought you guys didn’t get to play any football. It’s a good thing that you were allowed to play. And for sure, mas maganda ang result na makukuha niyo kesa samin..:P Ang lakas ng team niyo eh. When we played against each other, we were no match. And that was even before you guys were finished training. Sayang.
