About This Blog

“Oooh, welcome, welcome, dear friend, step right into my parlor,” said the cyberspider to the cyberfly, “and let me tell you a little something about what that curious little nose of yours has gotten you into now.”

I’m a HEdCen oldie, one of us who’ve had our children in HEdCen even when it was still just The Little Farm House pre-school. I’m also Webmissy’s henchman in this sordid crime of conspiring to manufacture HEdCen.com out of thin air.

Posts that I have so far have been categorized as follows:

HEdCen.com launch invites the HEdCen community to participate in creating this website which we hope will be Our Third Home.

Internet 101 covers tips for beginners to the Internet and on how we can become responsible Netizens.

Internet Safety tells us how to protect ourselves and our loved ones from the recognized perils of cyberspace. As Larry Magid of SafeKids.com says, “By knowing the dangers and how to avoid them, you can take advantage of all the positive aspects of the Internet while avoiding most of its pitfalls.”

Blogging 101 talks about my extremely excruciating experience learning to blog and how we all can do it, especially with the help of Webmissy’s torture-ials, este tutorials pala. It’s not as difficult as you think it is. Blogophobia, or the fear of blogging, can be cured.

HEdCen Special Events is self-explanatory, isn’t it?

Better Earth (yup, got it from the school’s motto, obvious ba?) will feature information or views on ecological concerns, e.g., global warming.

A HEdCen Oldie’s POV is my personal take (or Point Of View) as a HEdCen parent on whatever catches my attention.

Breaking News recently came about as emergency posts, first, when DSL service in most of the Metro including Antipolo broke down for a day, which accounted for Webmissy being (like some ATMs on payday) offline, and second, for immediate posting of HEdCen’s Enrollment Information of AY 2007-2008.

I’ve also taken excerpts from previous posts and put up their own separate Pages for immediate viewing:

Responsible HEdCeNetizenry and Internet Safety: The Reference Links has links to rules of Netiquette and internet safety.

My Personal Blogging Guidelines is a list of some positive rules I’ve adopted in blogging I’d like to share with my fellow newbie bloggers.

Our Third Home supplements what Webmissy has said in “Why a HEdCen Web Site?”. It’s part of the overview of the site in the orientation for teachers and parents.

So there. Have fun, guys. Let’s make Our Third Home the best it can be! :-)
