Dear Parents,

Greetings!

This academic year, 2006-2007, is the most successful since HEdCen started its football program. We bagged the most trophies in all tournaments against the other RIFA schools including Ateneo, Woodrose, and Xavier. Our trophies include 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place awards.

We could have accomplished much more if all varsity players trained religiously.

Our objective this year is for ALL our teams from preschool to gradeschool boys and girls to consistently win the championship especially in the regular RIFA tournament. All players of the team must train in order to achieve this.

The coaching staff of HEdCen needs your child to practice this summer. This will be our best time to improve your child’s football skills and team play.

It is important for the parents to support and encourage the children into becoming the best they can be in all areas of life including sports.

Football training details are listed below:

Duration:
March 26 – June 15 (Mon, Tue, Thur, and Fri for HEdCen students)
April 30 – June 1 (Mon, Tue, Thur, and Fri for nonHEdCen students)
No training from April 3-9, and April 17 - 24

Time:
7-9:30AM (boys born 1998-1990 and girls born 1995-1988)
and 3:30-6:00PM (boys born 2002-1999 and girls born 2002-1996)

Venue:
HEdCen Football Fields
UP Sunken Garden or Marikina Sports Complex (every Friday for the morning group upon advise of coach only)

Fee:
P1500 for HEdCen students
P3000 for nonHEdCen students

Requirements:
Summer football training shirt (P200)
Spikes, socks, extra-clothes, sandals, water jug, and 1 kg of powdered milk

HEdCen Taytay, March 12 – Participants of the HEdCen Football Outreach Program have been training consistently since January 2007. They have greatly improved their football game over a span of just 2 months and will have a chance to test their skills in the college fields of Ateneo de Manila in the AFC Football Festival this March 18, Sunday. HEdCen Outreach will compete in the boys born 1994 category.

Two other HEdCen teams will compete in the same category. These will be Redwoods boys born 1994 and 1996.

Hopefully, the participation of the outreach players in the tournament will help promote the sport and influence other schools to establish a similar program that will give poor children a chance to enjoy the wonderful game of football.

HEdCen Taytay, March 2 – Junichi Saliba’s 17 bounces beat Zach’s 14 to become the new juggling champ in the highschool division while Rvin Resuma set a new overall record of 24 bounces. Rvin beat the gradeschool record of 14 by Miguel Santos-Tankia and the highschool record of 20 bounces by Renee Esguerra.

Renee Esguerra still holds the record for the highschool division in juggling despite being absent to defend his title in the 2nd juggling competition of HEdCen.
