Education is not a preparation for life; education is life itself. – John Dewey

No one has yet realized the wealth of sympathy, the kindness and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education is to unlock that treasure. – Emma Goldman

The principal goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done; men and women who are creative, inventive and discoverers, who can be critical and verify, and not accept everything they are offered. – Jean Piaget

The foundation of every state is the education of its youth. – Diogenes Laertius

It takes a village to raise a child. – Old African proverb

Since the beginning, TLFH HEdCen has focused on the same goal – of developing well-rounded individuals by tapping the eight domains of intelligence in an efficient, enjoyable and scientific approach. Its pride is in the children who have gone through the program for the past several years, where majority has shown excellence in both academics and emotional intelligence.

The success of TLFH HEdCen stems in great part from its “small school” concept.1 The size of a class is no more than twenty-five (25) children – a far cry from the average class size of 45-50 students in traditional schools. This allows for more student-teacher interaction and more personalized instruction. The main concern of the school is to make sure that the entire class masters the subject matters taught, such that slower students are provided greater opportunities to catch up with the help of teacher intervention. Extra-curricular activities are also given emphasis as a very important component of the student’s survival after high school.

The school’s objectives are as follows:
