HEdCen.Com, in cooperation with Google, offers the following services to those with @hedcen.com accounts.

INTERACTIVE MAIN PAGE

Completely customizable, you can choose the content of the main page. Add games, news, how-to’s, sports, lifestyle, technology… Below are some of them:

WEBMAIL

Using the Gmail interface with a customized HEdCen.Com logo (if anyone can design a better one, please let me know), each yourname@hedcen.com mail account comes with over 2GB of space. The interface can be customized to include or exclude the chat service. You can even get your mail on your mobile phone.

CALENDAR

Create an events calendar, customize the settings to allow everyone or select persons to view your events.

The HEdCen academic calendar (c/o Sir H) will be integrated in this site shortly.

DOCS AND SPREADSHEETS

Create, upload, share, discuss and publish documents and spreadsheets.

CHAT

Use your yourname@hedcen.com account to chat. Download Google Talk, log in and start chatting. Stand-alone Google Talk is not yet available to Mac users BUT Google Talk is integrated with the HEdCen webmail service.

WEBPAGES (Coming soon)

Learn HTML, create webpages, upload photos and publish. These are basic HTML pages, not a blog. The service is already active but we’re waiting for the propagation of DNS settings (I won’t bore you with the geeky stuff but this should take more than a day or two).
