Your user profile/changing your password

When your HEdCen.Com blog account (don’t confuse it with your e-mail account), you chose your username (which also forms part of your blog URL) but you were provided with a password that was randomly generated by the system.

I don’t think it’s reasonable to presume that you will remember the weird alpha-numeric password that the system gave you. We don’t want you locking yourself out of your blog’s administration panel because you can’t remember such an impersonal password. So, one of the first things that you should do after you first access your blog is to update your user profile and to change your password to something that you will remember.

Your administration panel

The administration panel is where you take control of your blog. You access it by logging on. The log in page is found at http://hedcen.com/yourusername/login.php.

Webmissy’s HEdCen.Com blog

Why not? Everyone else is “webmaster”. Why should I call myself something that every site creator calls himself?

Of course, I could have called myself “Cute Ako” (it’s true, anyway) or “Nocturnal Creature” (I’m more awake at night) but I had to choose a name that will identify me as the one who’s supposed to give you tips and tricks about blogging, so, why not “Webmissy”? It’s descriptive, it’s feminine (I’m female!) and it’s unique (very important!).
