Internet Woes
March 18, 2007 10:22 am Outside School, Random ThoughtsThere are a lot of things that suck about having a dial-up connection. For one, the pages load after a really long time. The next would be not being able to use the phone while using the internet… But that’s a different story altogether.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to having a DSL internet connection very soon (and my very own laptop, if I may add). There’s nothing about buying internet cards that spur my hatred for the dial-up connection. Just using it up. ‘Cause I have a very hard time controlling myself to spend just an hour of my internet card a day.
Besides, schoolwork nowadays involve a lot of “surfing the net” and I was never really fond of going to internet cafés so might as well do my researching at home. One thing that’s a certified con about having DSL connection would be my definite inability to control myself to not surf the net. A pro about it would be: since there’s a definite payment for DSL, why not use it to the fullest?
But that’s still in the future. No use dwelling on that now.
