I know I haven’t been able to post for a while now (actually for more than ten days, but yeah, you get the point). I must excuse my absence but the last week has been quite hectic for me. Preparing for the play, the culminating activity presentation, getting my clearance signed, Kumon duties…. Though my absence was pretty much rewarded: our play went well, the culminating activity presentation was fine, my clearance only lacks the signature of the librarian (I would’ve gotten it signed if only Sir Mike was present in the library this past week…or maybe he was and I was too busy to notice) and I’ve been going dutifully to that sordid hellhole people had the grace to call the Kumon Center.

Well, summer has been pretty much uneventful for me. We got DSL (finally! *dancing around in circles in the background*), I’m attending the summer soccer program in HedCen, and I got accepted in Kumon’s apprenticeship program (I’ll elaborate later when I have posted other entries under individual categories).

And the fact that my responsibility is being tested in the new task being given to me by my parents.

It’s pretty much okay to be at home with your annoying little brother, I guess. I mean what would washing a few plates, cooking rice (microwavable food is okay with us…I wouldn’t want to burn the house down with my pathetic excuse of a meal, thank you very much) and washing your soccer outfit, do wrong to you? Nothing! None. Nada. Zilch. Nil.

But it kinda gets harrowing after a while when your little brother gets a wee bit out of control (eyes glued to the television, pretending not to hear anything but the television, refusing to finish his food, Play Station all the way and the likes…what pretty much every annoying little brother does). Just earlier, I got into this glaring contest with him when he was sneaking books under the covers to read when I told him to sleep (he’s required by dad to have naps every afternoon). I’m really thankful that he’s not yet a computer-addict or I may have to battle him for computer rights…

 Oh well. I think I’ll be back a litte later?

If I could just escape that infernal call of duty…
