I encountered this song in youtube.com when I was looking for a trailer of Pride and Prejudice starring Keira Knightley and Matthew McFayden. It was immediately after I finished reading Jane Austen’s book that I went in search of its movie counterpart, though Dad told me it was too drama-drama to be appreciated. Oh well. I geuss I’ll just stick with the book. At least Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet had a happy ending!

It has come to my awareness that the last time I updated my blog was a month ago and it is the middle of May that I am making a come-back at blogging. To justify all those long days gone, I shall put the blame on the excruciatingly scorching (disregard the fact that I am exaggerating a wee bit too much) Philippine summer temperature. Since our PC is not inside the Master’s Bedroom where we (pertaining to my little brother and I) find our sole reprieve from the unbearable heat everyone is suffering from, I could not possibly find any time to spare to go online and update some things which should have been updated a long time ago. It is of course due to my extreme exasperation to the opressing bouts of heat that I have gone so far as to type my entry in my mom’s laptop inside the Master’s Bedroom and save it to a CD, which I can load into the PC and copy-paste here. Thus, the end to my update-less-ness (though another factor to such an occurence is - ahem! - laziness; but let us not dwell on these things for now).

So yesterday was an important day for competitive soccer schools, which includes ours. There was a tournament for different boys and girls’ divisions sponsored by Mizuno at the Manila Polo Club, with its properly managed fields and goals a fraction of an inch too small ( I won’t even start complaining about the heat and the budget that has to be in your wallet to eat a hotdog). But anyway, the HedCen girls ‘94 group was, much to my chagrin, unable to compete since a couple (or more) of its players were unable to attend. So instead of going home to bore my brains out, I decided to tag along with the guys to give them the moral support that I was supposed to give but unfortunately was not able to do so as avidly as was customary because of…certain activities taking up my time. And so the whole morning was spent, half-cheering them on and depleting my water supply. Dad and my little brother (who went with him to his office) picked me up at about one in the afternoon and my last update was a bronze for the ‘92 guys and a championship game for the ‘96.

So there: after a prolonged vacation from the throes of blogging, I have yet again posted another entry for the public to consume. I shall now whole-heartedly depart without any regrets after fulfilling my duties to the internet nation (I find a twisted sort of entertainment in making certain things more complicated than necessary ).
