I experienced in the internet that, someone insulted me.
Because I won the game.
But I just ignored. And there are more experienced that I had.
And even not in internet, I also had, that kind of experiences in

The netiquette is really important in using a internet.
Netiquette is a rules of using a internet.
I tend to play a lot of MMORPGs and other online games before. I would often download and play many online games and if I get tired of them, I would search for another and uninstall the game that I get tired of. One day, I was playing this certain online first-person shooting game then someone PKed(Player kill) me and he followed it with a curse. He PKed all the players in the room then cursed each and everyone of us. Most of the players in the room reacted violently about what he had said. We decided to ambush him and kick him after he died. After that, we reported him and he was banned to play the game for a few months.
I always like to use the computer and surf the net. I play a lot of online games and meet a lot of people. There are different things that you will see while playing the game and maybe you can learn from it. When you are playing games like ragnarok, you will encounter many people that have different attitudes. Sometimes they can be good or bad to you. I also use YM when I want to chat and talk with other people. I learned about chatting when I saw my sister using Yahoo Messenger to chat with her classmates. My sister told me to make an account because she said that it is very helpful.
I usually like chatting and playing games everytime I use the computer. But most of my time is used in playing. I’ve met a lot of people online, coming from any parts of the world, but not all of them were nice. I’ve encountered people who were rude, ruder, and rudest. If they got pissed of by somebody (can also be you), they would attack (thinking for a better word) you with these bad and insulting words. Actually, it was my first time to read the Netiquette on this subject. It opened my mind on what was happening in the online world. I think those people who don’t know how to act properly online should and be required to red the Netiquette Rules in order for them to learn how they should be acting or talking with other people. That is what these rules are for, for us to look good and decent even if we’re not seen. Verbal actions should be taken seriously to avoid any problems communicating and getting along with most people, mostly the ones who belong to other countries. Respect is a key to friendship, always remember that. We need it not only online, but in any sort of communication. I admit that sometimes, if somebody online talks to me in a bad way, I actually answer him/her in a bad way too. I know it’s bad, but it really pisses me off. But now that I’ve read the Netiquette Rules, I would be able to know what to do.
I haven’t done anything wrong regarding the netiquette although I have experiences in which I was the one being violated. There was this Pop who had bothered me for a long time in Multiply, at first he was just cursing and saying stuff to me until he hacked my account and decided to delete it. I reported to Multiply of what happened and they put back my account but then in just less than 24 hours it got hacked and deleted by someone again. I got very pissed of what he did since almost all of my files were saved there. I have those files backed up in my iPod but unfortunately the files got corrupted on that very same day.
I have also experienced people making fake accounts saying that they’re me. One of those fake accounts even attempted to ask my Dad how much he earns. Not before one dinner time when I told my Mom about this person who tries to ruin my social relationship with others just then I knew that this guy was also talking to my Dad. Well at least it was a good thing that my Dad never answers such question even if it was really me who asked it.
There was also this time when I can’t log into my Friendster account. It always says there that my email and password don’t match. I tried sending reports so that I can see in my Yahoo! Mail account what my password was and surprisingly it says in my verification mail that it was “gago”. I never used this so called word as my password. The hacker must have changed my original password to this and again it pissed me of.
Actually, I think that all of these were made by only one person but I can’t think of anyone who can have anything against me.
I had experienced bad netiquette when I was playing World of Warcraft and other MMORPGs. It happened when I had asked a question on a channel and the people responded quite rudely and were not answering properly. Some people even cursed me for no reason, not in WoW but in the other MMORPG for no reason which is poor netiquette and was quite dismaying.
One of my personal experiences regarding the rules of netiquette happens all the time in this game I sometimes play. It is a variation of Warcraft and I play with other people via software called G. Arena that enables me to play with complete strangers. As you can imagine there is a lot of trash talk that goes around, ranging from insults used by kids to insults on family, mothers and the like. The trash talk is in violation of the rules of netiquette but no one can stop them so they do it anyway.

In Youtube, I just commented on a video and one guy or girl just ranted me so much that it really pissed me off. Not as if I cursed someone nor did anything wrong. I just said that it’s funny. Well it’s funny for me. Then he started to curse me and said that it is not and added stuff about religion.This also happened to me in an online game. Well it’s an online game so most probably you’re going to fight or kill someone on a player versus player mode. So I killed this guy and I don’t know why he cursed me so much but there is nothing wrong in what I did. I just killed him it’s the whole purpose of the game anyway.In other times I had already done this to so many people but I did this because I have a reason. They started it but sometimes I just feel like doing it. But now I read this core rules. I guess I’m going to lessen it or stop.
My personal experience regarding the core rules of Netiquette is that I will be friendly to others so they will be friends with me. I chatted with my cousins and friends but it is not important. When it is already my turn to show and tell, I shared to my classmates what I know about Jianne Garcia (Rael’s sister). When I said something wrong about my cousin and she forgave me.

In my personal experience, I absolutely know I never insulted anyone in the Internet all my life (at least when I knew I was going to do so). I treat anyone in the Internet as real people though I make friend with them there easier. I’ve never typed in any swear word in the Internet and I have always typed like this; no shortcuts because I’m not used to chatting; the reason is that I don’t own a cellphone. So far, I’m no expert at anything Internet yet and I have never participated in any flame war, either. Well, I did participate in a war but it was a game website plot; the “Return of Dr. Sloth” in Neopets.com 2007 early 2008. I have always respected people’s privacies. I have never disgraced any newbie, but then again, I never encountered a newbie’s mistake before.
2(?) summers ago, a “pop008” added me in my Multiply account. At first I thought he/she was just new because the account he/she has was completely empty. No pictures, no blog entries, not even a headshot. He/She first started sending me private messages in Multiply. Saying foul things about me and telling everyone how much of a bit*h I am. I had no idea who that person was, so I didn’t react. That went on for days. I got pissed and replied telling him/her to stop. More PMs and now comments on my inbox and blog came. He/she started sending PMs to my contacts again regarding me being a bit*h. Others started to track down who that person is. They have come up with a few people who they think that was but I didn’t care. I just wanted it to stop. With all that happening, that pop008 managed to hack my account, change its settings and password, and even deleted some of my albums. Although he/she did all that, he/she DID NOT change the e-mail account everything is sent for my account. I hit the “forget password” button and had my password sent to my e-mail. I changed everything back to they way they were and made everything for private viewing only.

My experience in cyberspace is one of the most common mistakes committed online. Before I don’t really know how to talk to people online specially when chatting unlike email where I can actually check what I have written down. So before when chatting my replies was brief and I feel that they understand what I am saying. But then they didn’t I don’t show emotions before so I usually get misinterpreted by others and sadly we get into an argument and sadly I usually lose because it is hard for me to explain myself in cyberspace not to mention they type faster than I can. Speaking of typing I still am a slow typer compare to my friends and this is quite a disability when it comes to online chatting this makes for you hard to reply to their message and again makes them misinterpret you even more.
When talking to people I try my best to be as clear and simple as possible and now I started using emoticons to show what I’m really feel. Before I was talking to a friend then I started throwing things at her but it was only a joke then she started getting angry and she started throwing offensive messages at me. I wondered why I feel that I’m not really doing anything wrong for her to say those hurtful words. So then I asked her why and she wouldn’t tell me because she was still furious. So I checked if I said anything wrong. I went through my archives I found that what I was saying was actually offensive because I showed no feelings and it was actually easily misinterpreted even I would thing if this was sent to me I would get irritated. So I apologized and promise to be more careful of my words and be a lot clearer about my expressions.
So when chatting always remember to keep in mind that you are not talking face to face. Remember that your expressions are not seen so try to show it as best as you can. Use emoticons to make it clearer. Try to keep it simple but understandable. Try your best to understand what the person is saying before replying because you may also be a victim of this misunderstanding that is happening over the net.
One time while I was using ym, someone suddenly im(ed) me. First she asked for my A/S/L or Age Sex and Location. Before answering the question I asked her if she really knew me but she said that she didn’t. I asked her where she got my email and she said from her friend, so I asked her “what is the name of your friend?”. She said that it was a secret. She asked me if I was willing to be her friend but I did not want. Then she told me that I was a bad boy and that my parents were not able me to teach good manners. She cursed me because I was ignoring her im. Because of that I sent her email add to the ignore list to prevent the further disturbance.
